Marcella Jackson was born in Guatemala and has lived in several countries around the world. She speaks English, Spanish and Italian. She married her high school sweetheart, Damien, and is the proud mother of two little girls, Sophie, who is 3, and Alessandra, who is 1 1/2 years old. She is quickly becoming Auntie to all of the furry babies at The Dog From Ipanema.
Marcella has been working here since February 2009, but she started working with dogs in 2001 as a volunteer for the Humane Society. Since then she has completed a basic grooming course in Argentina and a Veterinary Technician course in Spain. She has groomed and worked in Veterinary clinics, and bathes, blow dries, and cleans up the babies here. She could not be happier - this is not only her dream job, and that she works with true pet lovers, but it is a joy for her to come to work each day.
She looks forward to achieving her next goal and becoming a full-time groomer to continue providing the kids with the high quality grooming and attention they deserve.
